Projection Mapping awarded at Schlosslichtspiele Karlsruhe

In Karlsruhe, the UNESCO City of Media Arts, from August 16 to September 17 the Schlosslichtspiele festival of light is celebrated, turning the center of the German city into a multimedia art exhibition space for all audiences For four weeks the facade of the 170 meter wide baroque castle is transformed into an open space for the art of video mapping with the different projected works that make up the daily programme. Of the 76 mapping proposals received from all over the world, the jury of this year's competition has chosen 4 to be produced, one of which has been the video mapping of Sínoca, which has also been awarded at the same BBBank Awards festival The 3D mapping in question is entitled "Humanity" and in it Sílvia Isach reflects on the contemporary person, a digitized and networked society promises endless possibilities. However, information overload, increased speeds and virtual worlds fosters alienation, indifference and lack of identity. The work establishes a sustainable balance between new technologies and people, valuing humanism and giving more space to our emotions.
