Visual scenography for the Magi play

05/01/2021
The celebration of the arrival of the Magi at El Vendrell this year has adopted a new static format by creating a captivating theatrical experience. The show "A trip to Orient" had a large LED screen 11 meters wide x 5 meters high on stage on which the visual content designed by Sínoca was projected and made for the occasion. In the theatrical production, the visual scenography has played a crucial role in creating the desired atmosphere with visually attractive settings, while enhancing the narrative and evoking specific emotions in the audience on the most magical night of the year.

Visual scenography is used in various fields, in this case theater, but also in events, exhibitions, installations and television. The use of projections in a theatrical production can offer several advantages by enhancing the overall experience for the audience and contributing to the narrative. On the one hand, the projected visual content can transform the stage into different environments, landscapes or scenarios that would be difficult, or impractical, to create physically. It can provide stunning visuals, creating immersive and dynamic backdrops that enhance the atmosphere of the play by transporting the audience to different times and places. On the other hand, projections can serve as a powerful storytelling tool, helping to convey information, emotions and symbolism, providing context or emphasizing salient themes. At the same time, the projections offer flexibility and adaptability in the scenography. They can easily change and evolve throughout the performance, allowing for smooth transitions between scenes or locations. This versatility allows the production to efficiently represent various scenarios without the need for major set changes, reducing downtime and maintaining the pace of the performance. They can also be used to create visual effects that add drama and magic to the performance. By combining projected images with live actors or other stage elements, it is possible to achieve illusions, transformations or fantastical elements that would otherwise be difficult to achieve in practice.

All this has contributed to the charm and wonder of this Three Wise Men Night, an inspiring and immersive theatrical experience that has preserved the illusion and emotion of the boys and girls.
