Begues annual town festival Video Mapping

For the Begues Festa Major (the town’s main annual festival), Sínoca created an architectural video mapping that transformed the Town Hall façade into a true audiovisual stage. This Festa Major video mapping combined history, culture, and popular tradition, offering a visually stunning and educational experience for all attendees.
From Private History to the Heart of the Festival
The first part of the mapping recreates the story of the Torres Vilaró family, a wealthy Barcelona family who, in the early 20th century, found a summer retreat in Begues. The fresh air, the tranquility of the Garraf massif, and the charm of the village captivated them, and they decided to build their modernist-style summer home: Can Torres, now the Town Hall.
Every summer, the family filled the house with poetry, art, and life, with members dedicated to literature and the visual arts. From a private home to the heart of the village, Can Torres became a shared space, a witness to the history and culture of Begues.
Through digital design and animation, the video mapping recreated these episodes, building scenes of the family’s cultural life and artistic pursuits while integrating the porches, windows, reliefs, and volumes of the building into the visual narrative. The projection maintained a constant dialogue with the façade, turning the architecture itself into an active participant in the story.
A Festive Show Dedicated to the Festa Major
After the historical section, the architectural mapping evolved into the celebration of the Festa Major. With bursts of color and rhythm, the façade was transformed to showcase folk dances, main activities, and the most iconic moments of the festival, connecting the village’s history with the vitality of today’s celebration.
"From the peaceful summers of yesterday to the lively heart of today’s festival... This house has witnessed it all. This is our story. This is the Begues Festa Major!"
This combination of historical narrative and lively celebration turned the Town Hall façade into the visual centerpiece of the festival, demonstrating how a Festa Major video mapping can unite heritage, local history, culture, and tradition in a unique show, fully integrated into the building where it is projected.
