Commemorative Video Mapping for the 100th Anniversary of the Human Towers Group Nens del Vendrell

04/10/2025
On the occasion of the centenary of the human towers group Nens del Vendrell, Sínoca conceptualized and produced a commemorative video mapping projected onto the façade of the Town Hall of El Vendrell. This architectural video mapping transformed the building into part of the narrative, combining images, 3D animations, and conceptual graphics to visually and symbolically represent the key moments and principles that have defined the group over the past century.
The project aimed to condense one hundred years of history into a contemporary and visually powerful piece. In addition to archival photographs and audiovisual footage, several scenes were created using graphic elements and 3D animations that synthesized concepts such as innovation, excellence, resilience, and ambition, using shapes and movements inspired by the balance and elevation of castells. This combination of visual languages allowed the story of the group to be told without relying solely on documentary material, creating a visual narrative characteristic of video mapping on architectural façades.

The result was one of the opening events of the centenary, bringing together generations of castellers and local residents in a shared space and conveying the identity of the group in a direct and memorable way. The project shows how commemorative architectural video mapping can transform a façade into a narrative stage where architecture and imagery combine to build a coherent visual story.

This work also highlights the potential of video mapping for anniversaries, commemorations, and institutional celebrations, particularly for cultural organizations, companies, educational institutions, or public bodies that wish to transform buildings and public spaces into unique visual experiences.
